The head of Korona presented what measures are planned in the near future and called on caterers to constantly communicate their problems and concrete proposals for their elimination to the city authorities so that they can solve them operationally as soon as possible. By the way, Zadar is the first and one of the few cities that completely released entrepreneurs from the obligation to pay for public areas and business premises due to the coronavirus crisis. “The first refers to the implementation of the Decision on exemption from payment of public areas, ie the moratorium for May and possibly June. The second concerns the payment of already contracted public areas from June and July, which will be reduced by the prescribed anti-epidemiological measures, so that caterers will not be able to use them objectively to generate income. Also, advance payments for contracts for the use of public areas for this year that could not be used should be taken into account when calculating financial obligations to the city”, Explained the director of HGK ŽK Zadar Denis Ikić after the meeting. Representatives of Zadar caterers met today in HGK ŽK Zadar with the head of city property Tomislav Koron, and the main topic of conversation was future steps in the preparation and conduct of catering activities in the city.
In May, catering facilities will open exclusively on outdoor areas and terraces, but they are still plagued by many doubts and problems. Therefore, they proposed to the city authorities two concrete measures to help caterers. All participants in the meeting agreed that they should work responsibly and come to decisions together that will maximally facilitate the reactivation of the hospitality industry and the city economy as a whole.
